My name is John, and I am a Systemic Family Psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience supporting children, young people, parents, couples and families.
My background is in the NHS, where I worked in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services as both a Senior Mental Health Nurse and Family Therapist.
I Support families and the individuals within them to improve communication, reduce conflict and create lasting, meaningful change.
I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space to help with a wide range of difficulties.
I also work closely with families navigating fostering, adoption and blended family life – helping to build understanding and strengthen connections.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you.
I draw on Systemic, Narrative, Solution-Focused and Dialogical Therapy approaches, meaning we explore patterns within relationships rather than placing blame on individuals.
I believe that each person brings valuable insight into their situation, and I work to ensure all voices are heard and respected.
People often describe working with me as feeling calm, thoughtful and inclusive, with space for everyone’s perspective to be heard.
