Matt Robinson

My name is Matt and I’m an experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT).

I have over 12 years of experience as a psychological therapist – working with adults, children, young people and families, to overcome problems with anxiety, low mood and many other mental health difficulties.

I’m passionate about helping people develop effective, lifelong strategies to manage their own wellbeing. 

I enjoy working with children and young people, and adults alike, and whilst I have a special interest in working with Social Anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), I have experience of working with individuals experiencing many types of problems.

Since qualifying as a Social Worker in 2008, I have worked with children, young people and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds and across a variety of settings.

I also currently work as Senior Lecturer in Psychological Therapies and Mental Health at Leeds Beckett University, where I train counsellors and therapists.

I offer a genuine, warm and empathic approach to therapy, and I will pay careful attention to your goals and what you would like to achieve from therapy.
