Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Tai Mitchell

Hello, I am Tai, I am a mental health nurse by background but I am also a trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapist as well as an independent prescriber.

I have experience working with adults and children, and I currently work with children
and young people within the National Health Service (NHS).

And I have experience using
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to work with a wide range of mental health difficulties,
including anxiety, depression, and trauma.

I also have significant experience working with children and young people who have comorbid neurodevelopmental difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

In sessions, I focus on recovery, helping people to ‘become their own therapist’ and overcome their difficulties independently
following sessions coming to an end.

My areas of specific interest are:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Autism
  • Children and Adolescents
  • Depression
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Panic Disorder
  • Phobias
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder  (PTSD)
  • Self Esteem
  • Separation Anxiety
  • Social Anxiety
